Swimmer of the Week (June 5-9th) goes to Emmet Bernier!! Emmett was away for a while so this post is a bit late but he worked very hard during that week to get ready for the mackenzie swim meet where he swam as a Div 1 for the first time. Swimmer of the Week (May 29th-June 2nd) goes to Rebecca Plett!! Rebecca has been working really hard on her butterfly, always comes with a great attitude and we count on her to lead her lane when doing sets! Keep up the great work!! Thank you to Bakkerij Lobelle for the gift card.

Swimmer of the Week (May 22-26) goes to Skyler Serle! Skyler is one of the pups groups and she always comes with a smile on her face! She is also making very good progress with always blowing her bubbles when her face is in the water and working on keeping a tight streamline when she kicks. Keep up the great work! Swimmer of the Week (May 15-19) goes to Lucy Adams! Lucy is one of our newer swimmers and has been working very hard on her backstroke as well as her dives for the upcoming Mackenzie swim meet! Keep up the great work! Thank you to Bakkerij Lobelle for the giftcard!

The Nechako Valley Swim Club is excited to announce that Baylee McGillivray is returning to the Head Coach position this summer!

As a key person who has helped grow this club since 2019, we couldn’t be more pleased to welcome Coach Baylee back this summer to continue developing our swimmers to meet their goals and achieve their personal bests. She also has a competitive eye and has coached our athletes to win medals at meets and qualify at BCSSA Provincials. In addition, Baylee will be leading our growing coaching team and providing guidance and leadership to our assistant and Jr. volunteer coaches. We look forward to having a fantastic swim season with fun events, Hell Week, and strong attendance at swim meets.

We aim to begin our summer season the week of May 1st so please stay tuned for registration details to follow soon and additional exciting announcements about the season. In the meantime, don’t forget to mark these dates on your calendar to help plan your summer:
• June 10 & 11th – Mackenzie
• June 24 & 25th – Quesnel
• July 8 & 9th – Vanderhoof
• July 22 & 23rd – Prince George
• August 5 & 6th – Regionals in Dawson Creek
